Standing strong in seasons of adversity part 3

This is not to bring attention to what is wrong in our lives but rather what is right. We live in this world but are not off it; we live in 'time' but are born again from outside of time. The Greater One who is in us is not limited to what is going on around us. When Jesus was on the earth He proved time and time again that all things were subject to His authority; He didn't bow down to the tree that didn't bear fruit for Him, he exercised His authority over the fig tree that didn't bear fruit for Him. You may be going through an adverse situation but if you keep your eye on the Lord you will come through it, the situation is not what makes you stronger but how you worked with Jesus to get through it.

You need to step it up! In Christ you can do all things; in that Anointing and ability you are more than the devil can handle. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, the same God that cast the devil out of Heaven dwells in you and has given you authority so that you can cast the devil and all his cohorts out of your life too. Philippians 4:13 AMP, " I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency]."

The wars are fought in your mind and a lot of it has to do with the words you say. The more you talk about your situation the worse it will get; you are increasing its potential to harm you!

Has this word become 'just a message' to you now or is it a lifestyle? Let's keep ourselves stirred up and be expectant receivers of the Word, ready to hear from the Lord and then do great things!

II Corinthians 4:1 AMP, "THEREFORE, SINCE we do hold and engage in this ministry by the mercy of God [granting us favor, benefits, opportunities, and especially salvation], we do not get discouraged (spiritless and despondent with fear) or become faint with weariness and exhaustion."

Yes, it's the benefits are great but only if you have peace of mind! Having your needs met does not equate to living the good life; there's more! The enemy's plan is to weary your mind, getting you discouraged through fear so that you faint in life. To overcome you need to open your mouth and rebuke him, open your mouth and declare the Word of God. Lack, disease, fear, depression are your enemies, give them no place.

Acts 28:3-5 AMP, "Now Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and he was laying them on the fire when a viper crawled out because of the heat and fastened itself on his hand. When the natives saw the little animal hanging from his hand, they said to one another, Doubtless this man is a murderer, for though he has been saved from the sea, Justice [the goddess of avenging] has not permitted that he should live. Then [Paul simply] shook off the small creature into the fire and suffered no evil effects."
Adversity runs in packs but you have no need to fear, remember Philippians tells us you are ready for and equal to anything!

This life is a bit like that venomous snake, all it does is bite you and then it is nowhere to be seen; that's the devil, and the poison is left long after they are gone. The snake is no where to be seen but what we can do is take our authority so that the poison cannot harm us in the way that it was intended to do.

There are times that you feel like its going so well, that's the time that you have to watch out for the snake, watch out for the counter attack.

Hurt is our own fault; it is up to us what we allow in. Staying hurt for years is not God's plan for your life; He has given you the means to put that poison (hurt) out of your life. There have been a few days that we have allowed discouragement in but then we rose up in God and delighted ourselves in Him and He caused us to ride high above it!

Failure is not really failure until you stop. A bend in the road is not the end in the road unless you fail to make the turn! There is some navigation that you will have to work out with God, you have the responsibility to stand on the Word of God and make it final authority in your life. Heaven has deposited everything that it has inside you, everything you need for living this life is in your heart. The Word is the connector to your heart!

Make the decision today to squeeze the life out of sickness, lack and fear by filling yourself up with faith, by the Word.

Hebrews 10:35 AMP, "Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward."

Do not. Have you had your confidence attacked in the last year? This has a lot to do with our souls (mind, will and emotions) not our spirit. You may have said, "It didn't work for me in my finances, I'm just going to go broke now". What does that verse say, "Do not" cast away your confidence. Put into your self the truth of the Word instead of the negative talk of others, and believe that it shall come to pass in your life.

You can walk in victory! If you stand your ground and apply it, you will receive your compensation.

Proverbs 24:3-4, 10 AMP, "Through skillful and godly Wisdom is a house (a life, a home, a family) built, and by understanding it is established [on a sound and good foundation], And by knowledge shall its chambers [of every area] be filled with all precious and pleasant riches… If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small."

Muscle profits a little but it is the strength that is in your spirit that will cause you to win in life.

Knowing what there is to know about a certain topic positions you strong in that area. You make yourself weak in company by not knowing anything about the topic. Are you standing strong in the topic of healing? Are you standing strong in the topic of financial deliverance? It says in the above verse that knowledge increases power. We need to know what the Bible says about these things so that when we put the principles into action. We will succeed in each area and at the same time have a well balanced soul.

Let's take a look at this in the Message translation; " ^3-4 It takes wisdom to build a house, and understanding to set it on a firm foundation; It takes knowledge to furnish its rooms with fine furniture and beautiful draperies… If you fall to pieces in a crisis, there wasn't much to you in the first place."

Knowledge increases strength!
